A cloudy morning of Sunday the 27th, the perfect atmosphere for some melodious music. The AKB performed some interesting and varied pieces of J-Pop, along with two of their original compositions.

BAND 4-4

The song line-up included the famous ‘Sora mo Toberu Hazu’ by Spitz, ‘Konayuki’ by Remioromen, and ‘Eikou no kakehashi’ by Yuzu.


Held at Blind People’s Association, this event spanned an hour and a half.

The Club is organising a musical event at Blind People’s Association (BPA) with the aim of connecting people through the language of music. There are no boundaries in music; the catchy tunes, the rhythm – all speak for themselves! So, get ready to swing to the beats of all-Japanese band AKB as they bring to you the best of J-Pop!

concert-clipart-16Japanese Pop music, often abbreviated as J-Pop, has its roots in the 1960s pop and rock bands around the world. J-Pop has become popular outside Japan due to anime soundtracks made by pop artists. Generally, these songs have easy lyrics which make them an effective tool to learn Japanese.

The details of the event are as follows:

Date: 27th August, 2017; Sunday

Time: 11 am onwards

VENUE: Blind People’s Association, Jagdish Patel Chowk, Surdas Marg,             Vastrapur,Ahmedabad – 380015

Entry: Free

There’s no pre-registration for this event and you may bring your friends and family members too! This is an event open for all and not just for the Club Members.

The AKB is an Ahmedabad-based all-Japanese band with Mr. Hiroto Suzuki playing the bass,Mr. Nobuto Kato on the synthesizer, Ms. Kanako Kobayashi as the guitarist and Mr. Takuya Kagawa‘s vocals.



BPA is an organisation working to provide education, equal opportunities and quality life to differently-abled people. Their mission is to empower them and make them self-reliant through education and gainful employment.
