EVENT #16

TANABATA: LET’S MAKE A WISH!

七夕:笹に願いを!

Tanabata七夕 is a very important festival for the Japanese and takes place on the 7th of July every year, the day Orihime織姫 and Hikoboshi彦星 (characters from Japanese mythology; now names of stars) are fabled to meet. To celebrate their celestial meeting, people write wishes on colourful paper called Tanzaku短冊 and hang them from bamboo branches. It is believed that doing so would make those wishes come true. For more information on Tanabata, check the post: TANABATA – WHEN WISHES COME TRUE

With this JCA event, you can celebrate Tanabata the proper way, singing the Tanabata-sama all the way! Join us on the 8th of July (7th happens to be a Saturday) to rejoice in the spirit of this festival.
